IrisManager Updated to 1.55

Submitted by Christopher Groux; January 31, 2013

There's no real denying that IrisManager is heating up by the second. Just when you thought there wasn't any more that could be done, Estwald is here to prove us wrong with an update to the popular game backup manager. If you happen to be one of those few running 4.31 CFW specifically, then this update should put a smile on your face because you'll now be able to use this manager on your very current and beloved firmware. It should be noted that as of right now PSX loading will not work yet on this firmware however. Though the translation is rough, I believe Miralastijeras is given some credit for that as a collaborative effort.

If you happened to stay on a lower firmware though, there's also a few treats in terms of increased PSX support. In previous versions there was a bug causing certain games like Chrono Cross to give a black screen, but that has been fixed. Lastly another patch was added to simulate extended info in the TOC. This may or may not get some of those troublesome games booted. All in all another worthy update to an emerging scene favorite!

Seriously, IrisManager is on fire these days! Any time we can get increased PSX support is good enough for me. Who doesn't love Chrono Cross?

So does anyone know if there are any plans for Iris Manager to support more than two USB devices? I recently switched from Multiman, and absolutely love this game manager minus the fact that it does not support 4 usb devices. Right now I use four 1TB external drives to support my library, which forces me to use multiman instead. I much prefer the ease of use Iris offers over multiman's finicky set up for many games.
