As we pass through another wild week in the hacking and homebrew scene, Rebug present us with an update on their custom firmware. REX 4.30.2 gives only minor touches to the current REX Custom firmware, which is currently sitting at 4.21.2 REX, but it's welcome. This release adds 4.30 support to DEX users, better support for non-Rebug CFW, and you can now do a safe backup/restoration of xRegistry. Check below in the changelog for more CFW/toolbox updates and be sure to visit their website for the latest release:

REBUG TOOLBOX 02.01.02 – MAR. 17TH 2013

When I exited the Rebug Toolbox (without modifying any settings), the PS3 beeped, no image on the TV and the red standby-LED kept blinking.
I had to reset the console to work again. Also, the Q&A flag is still disabled. Games still run fine but there is no noticeable change in this 4.30.2 REX update.
So, if all your games work fine, just stay on 4.21.2 REX. There is no reason to risk a potential brick when upgrading to 4.30.2 REX. Your "old" firmware will probably do just fine for the time being. I ran 4.30 games (like Crysis 3) just fine with the 4.21.2 REX without any patching needed, even in 3D.
