ErmaC CFW 4.30 v1.2 Now Available

There's no denying that there are all kinds of choices that already exist for you when it comes to custom firmware. Now that the propper keys are finally in the right hand, creating a unique basic build has in some senses never been easier, which is why you will probably see tons and tons of competition looking to get into the fold. This firmware brought to you by a developer known as HDMadness may not have all the publicity of others like Rebug, but they still hope to give users an unique homebrew experience.

According to the creator, this 4.30 option is supposedly the single most stable custom variation in existence today. However on top of all this tightly-packed code, he also brings his own personal improvements in that this particular version does not require the use of a hardware flasher to install should you be on the proper initial firmware. Once you've done this, all great 4.30 features can be indulged upon such as the ability to play pretty much any and all PS3 titles without the need for a patch. Those who hate media restrictions will also be glad to know that Cinivia patching is also an option as well. If you're looking for a supposedly crash free firmware experience, why not ask HDMadness to put his money where his mouth is and take this one for a spin?

Sorry for being late getting back to you all. What the developer means is you don't need to use a hardware flasher to accomplish the initial install. The firmware requirements are still the same. You must be on CFW or be able to jailbreak with 3.55 to use this. I was confused at first too when I saw it at my source but that is what it means. Sorry for any confusion.

I UPDATED NOW FROM KMEAW 3.55 AND THIS ONE WORKS PERFECT. BEEN WAITING A LOT FOR THIS. NOW I HAVE THE NEW PES2013 WORKING AND EVEN UPDATES FOR GAMES ARE PLAYABLE. THANKS A LOT

so, should we always install this CFW from recovery menu? how about from XMB is it safe?

I'm a cautious guy anyway, but I would always go with recovery. Just seem likes the safer bet to me, but maybe someone with this actual firmware can better inform you.

Yes I believe that is the case with this CFW. As far as I can recall E3 and Rebug are the main ones that don't require downngrades. I would do it to be safe unless one of my other readers can confirm otherwise. Just don't want you to brick!

Buy a hardware flasher compatible with your system and downgrade to 3.55. Right now flashers are the only way.

Just updated to this ErmaC 4.30 from custom 3.55 but now i cant run any of my homebrew from the menu it comes up with a error occurred 80010017 and cant run muiltiman it just freezes do i have 2 some how resign the packages from 3.55 to 4.30 to get them running???

If you dont have a install package folder into your xmb menu that meas you have done wrong the installation ..You have brick your ps3, if you have installed toggle qa.pkg run the update again that should fix your problem otherwise you brick your ps3..

Just updated to this version from 3.60 (downgraded to original 3.55 1st) I did a system restore. Everything works except the new games which was supose to work with this CFW. Anyone else has this issue?

I got MW3 working. Found original eboot, PARAM file, I also copied from Ext hd to Int. It's working fine now. Gonna update original v1.23 and confirm with you all { Whoever is intersted ;) }

only had problem with patched sanits row 3, downloaded and reapplied latest official update and works fine. worth trying for any game not working, use multiman to download latest update for any game not working.

I just updated my kemaw 3.55 to this ermaC 4.3 cfw and as far as the new games go I can play them without ahy problem. I want to know it says psn enable with cfw so does that mean I can play on psn or not and If I can play do I have to do anything before I just get on psn? Please help and thanks.

all games work offline OK. all games work online OK except black ops 2. work first time I tried, now looks up on loading iff logged into psn. if not logged in works ok. tested black ops 1 and works fine online sill.

I went from 3.55 cfw to this and I forgot to run 'toggle_qa.pkg.What will happen to me now

,But everyting is WORKING FOR ME 100% don't have to do no patching stuff.Works the first time on any game.
