E3 Team Releases CFW 4.30

Today the E3 Team has released E3 CFW 4.30. This custom firmware includes a file manager and reports suggest that PSN is working to. Many are wondering if this will truly be a completely free custom firmware and hope that E3 is not trying to somehow rake in new sales for the hardware flashers. Although with recent brick reports on Rogero's custom firmware, I would think that sales on their hardware flashers would have increased.

The E3TEAM has released the latest E3 CFW4.30 for free. The bricking issue has been improved. Just download here and enjoy. (Pass is ' www.e3-tech.net ') Here we mention to E3 flasher users that you do not need to solder a wire to use the latest upgrade.bin file to unbrick a console.

Notes:

You still need to be on CFW v3.55 or OFW v3.55 to install this new CFW v4.30 from the E3 Team.
It is best if downgrading to follow the normal steps and dehashing like with Rogero just to be sure of no bricks.
E3 will be releasing an upgraded E3 Flasher 'update.bin' (firmware) to handle direct downgrading to CFW v4.30. (Beware: Their hardware required, just one of many strings disclosed)

With all the recent news of consoles bricking due to CFW 4.21, I would wait until this custom firmware is tested. Unless you have a hardware flasher handy. Ironic isn't it.

Not sure why its not on Dashhacks, but.

There is Rogero Firmware 4.21 V 1.09

and also there is New, Rogero Firmware 4.30 V 1.00

I read on different forums, that the Rogero Firmware 4.30 V 1.00 has reported no bricks yet, altough its very new.

Also,

General info, you need to be on either OFW 3.55 or CFW 3.55 to be able to use the new CFW's

Anything above that requires a HW flasher, so it is possible but it costs money.

confirmed working on cechb01. i was on rogero cfw 4.21 downgraded with downgrade fills and the q & A flaged then to rogero 3.55 v7 then to cfw 4.30. works perfectly games psn no bugs found so far

I really want to try it but only because I m curious.
I don't really use my PS3 anymore, but always been folowing the scene because I like to see new patches coming in .
When a new COD come out or a naruto title, I like to be able to play.
That new CFW would let me relog to my account and download my old game Monster Encore that I bouht a while back. :)

I just installed and it's working on my slim. I downloaded from the Mirror since the other link was only getting 80kb/s. I was able to boot my digital copy of FFVII with no issues and Little Big Planet from disc worked fine. I haven't had any luck getting any of my old backups on the internal HDD to work tho :/ I'm going to wipe em and try a fresh backup to see if that has any better luck.

Also, the included backup manager is multiMAN. When I checked the system Information it showed multiMan Version: 02.09.02 and my PS3 System: Firmware 3.41 [SC-8 | Hermes]. I'm not sure if that's normal...

and E3 is most commercial Team.
Latter E3 Flashers will be released to play 4.30+ games
its better to stay on 3.55 until KaKaRoTo conforms about this

To anyone who has installed this firmware it would be great if you could give a full model # of your PS3 with the date code. Also what firmware you had before hand (ex. ofw or cfw) That way we can see exactly what is working. I would be right on this if it will work for me!

I installed it on my fat ps3 and everything appeared to be working. Then I tried playing Naruto and the black screen came out... After that, everytime I open the multiman and try to refresh the games list the whole thing freezes!

And previous aplications like ftp black box or Gaia Manager gave an error

you should know this, previous versions of homebrews will not work, so you need to download new compatible ones, therefore remove old ones and download new ones and your problem will be solved

Hey finally got this right. upgraded from 3.41 to CFW4.30. E3 team rocks, i was able to play cyrsis 2, bleach and batman without any patch being applied to them.

I tested this CFW for a bit and then downgraded back to 3.55 using the guide that can be found for Rogero's 4.30 CFW and then installed that one. I'd have to say Rogero's 4.30 CFW works better. This was just my limited experience. I only used E3s for about 2 days and have only been on Rogero's for 1 day. I used KMEAW 3.55CFW before making the switch to 4.30. I'm definitely happy with my system running Rogero and would recommend it for anyone having problems with the E3 release.

My PS3 is on cfw 3.55, can I just update (with pup file) via media storage or do I have to buy a flasher( or other hardware)?

I used waninkoko in the past and was looking for a similiar solution..
