You guys know the deal by now I'm sure. Today news comes that a new revision of Universal Media Server has managed to slip through my fingers. After the previous release this media streaming and transcoding application, for Windows, Linux and MAC, has added a new video quality setting for FFMPEG and FFMPEG/AviSynth engines.

This guide assumes you have Ant, Subversion (svn), Java, and X11 installed. I'm building PS3 Media Server (PMS) on OpenSUSE Linux, which is what my media server runs. You can also follow this guide to build PMS on Mac OS X. So SSH in or open a terminal and lets get started:
