PaRappa the Rapper

In many regards, the original PaRappa the Rapper is often talked about as the first-modern rhythm music video game, and in 1996 I would be inclined to agree with that. By pressing the buttons on screen, you completed crazy songs and progressed from a fighting dojo to becoming one of the coolest canine rappers that ever walked the planet. Sure it didn't have the backing of mainstream songs like Rock Band and DDR have today, but that was all part of its charm. Couple the original tunes that told a story along with some incredibly unique animations and you've got yourself a PS Classic. The sad truth is though, it was never able to really recover once more modern peripherals beyond the controller came along.

So why should we get a remake? Because the industry has evolved in ways that could benefit the franchise. With the use of add-ons like the Move, and possibly even the PS4's included camera, we can now get rapping in any number of ways. Not to mention, the Rock Band buzz has died down a bit, so it's time for a new name to hog the spotlight. It also doesn't hurt that Sony recently decided to include PaRappa in PlayStation All-Stars either. This linguistic dog is back on the minds of the people, so give us what we want!

Is PaRappa too childish for you? Then maybe this next game will be enough to chill your bones!

you totally forgot Metal Gear, that game needs a full blown reboot. Story-wise it's way to convoluted to keep track anymore, and every new instalment either adds more to the convolution, or simply retcons previous instalments, adding to the confusion. Gameplay-wise it's not what it used to be back in MGS and MGS2, they've drawn away from the stealth game it used to be and PW was the last nail in the coffin for what used to be a cool series, where's stealth-only gameplay? where's procure weapons on site? where's avoid detection at all costs? PW, and for the most part MGS4 too, is nothing other than a 3rd person shooter with Metal Gear characters hacked into it.

I never even thought of that mostly because I haven't played MGS since Sons of Liberty, but I know what you mean. It definitely could use a little bit of wrangling in at this point. Conclude the story and start a new chapter. As long as they don't mess with it, fans won't mind. It is said that so many games are action focused these days!

I vote for Star Fox and Jet Moto and PaRappa the Rappa. Star Fox Adventures was one of my favorite games on the GameCube as it brought a whole new perspective on the Star Fox team where you weren't in some vehicle trying to get to the end of the level without dying.

The one for PSP was just a port of the original game. When I say reboot I mean more of a total overhaul with the same characters and basic ideas.

Oh like the Yari and Naganata? Might not be able to include those. Could be possible on Kinect but it wouldn't bee too comfortable lol.

A full ape escape game with move... Not the boring on rails one... We haven't seen a real ape escape game this generation. That and maybe one for vita too. Or at least give us the PS1 game in the store so I can play it on vita.
