What makes the game work in a sense is its very pick up and play nature. You won't be traveling through this massive story like you would in something like Ni No Kuni, so that makes it the perfect game to play if you're looking to just try out gaming for a single night. Not to mention, the typically light and fluffy animation styles favored by Nintendo will probably appeal to the kind of stuff your girlfriend might enjoy. A far cry from the blood and guts of our last pick.

Coupled with this casual style is still a healthy amount of competition through a whole bunch of simple yet fun mini games. You don't need to be a hardcore gamer to win at this party, so that means this is something both sides of the couple have the chance to get into those friendly but heated moments.
