Call of Duty (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U)
Unlike Ni No Kuni I don't think this game really needs any explanation behind its purpose. If the love of your life has stood you up on Valentine's day, then chances are you are going to need to take that aggression out somehow. Why not try that by taking down hordes upon hordes of enemies with explosives? In a lot of cases, this entire franchise is the shooter to beat in terms of its popularity. Sure the graphics engine may be a tad dated for the most hardcore gamers, but for the purposes you'll need it for on this depressing night, any game in the series should work just fine.

Not to mention coming from my male perspective, there is no better game to play than the one that girlfriends historically hate the most. Rather than spending the evening with your lady of choice, the strongest of us deserve to stick it to them by playing the very game that defies their gender. Certainly I'm not looking to be chauvinistic here either, because this can be a pretty solid aggression tactic for any and all. Plus, for the girls, if you happen to like Call of Duty, I have a feeling there are plenty of guys out there that would be quite impressed with that. To top it all off, you'll also have the benefit of playing online with folks just as lonely as you are.
Back to the concept of couples though, this next series will turn your Thursday night date into a party!
