Final Fantasy XIII Versus Ditched?!

Recently Square Enix has been deciding their priorities and it seems that Final Fantasy XIII Versus didnt make it into that important list...
The Final Fantasy XIII series wasnt a bad game but the legendary status many hoped it could achieve is a light year away, and in this dark time a ray of light shone through, this ray of light was...Final Fantasy XIII Versus!
Well apparently this ray of light has faded and we must simply wait until Final Fantasy XV. The potential of Final Fantasy XIII Versus looked practically limitless and really showcased Square Enixs finest but according to an inside source, the game has been dropped!
A staff member from within Square Enix HQ has leaked information about Final Fantasy XIII Versus being ditched. The long anticipated title is set to be replaced by Final Fantasy XV and the development team working on XIII Versus have been shifted from Versus to Final Fantasy XV.
I speak for many Final Fantasy fans when I say, this fucking blows!
However...there is some hope. There is a chance that Final Fantasy XIII Versus has been ditched but not the characters, story and gameplay. It is believed by many already that Final Fantasy XV is just a rebranded name for XIII Versus; this could completely flip this news around and mean even more staff are working on the up and coming title. Lets hope that this is in fact the case.

If that's so, then at least Nomura can put his team to full speed on the final entree in the Xehanort saga for KH (in other words, KH3). Considering he had his KH team working on Versus XIII. At the same time though, it is a petty that this has happened, since Versus has been in development for so long. Honestly though, I think Nomura has kind of run out of ideas for a good story in relation to the many realms of Final Fantasy. He's had his time in the FF spot light, just as Sakaguchi, Kitase and Ito have had theres. I think it's time Square-Enix put the FF series in other capable hands for the time being. Of course, I can't entirely say it's Nomura's fault either. After all, he's directed/produced other great titles (TWEWY, KH, etc), and Square-Enix puts a lot of pressure on him to come up with ideas for this and that.
