PS3Key Giveaway

Another giveaway courtesy of the cool cats at mygamingmart.com and acekard.ca. This time 'round we're giving away a PS3Key; however, there are a couple things to note:

This PS3Key is an original demo/sample piece. The version for sale does not come stamped with the PS3key emblem for importing reasons; it does however come tagged with a yellow sticker that carries an unique ID so the folks at PS3Key.com can verify its authenticity. This giveaway PS3Key is stamped with the emblem and does not come with the yellow sticker. So I hope the winner doesn't live in Australia. ;)
The unique key for this demo piece is unknown to me at this time. Should that change (I'm waiting to hear back) I'll let the winner know what it is. If not, big whoop, it's free.

So now you're thinking, what do I have to do to win this? Well obviously i should win and for the following reason:
I have always been following both PSP-HACKS and PS3-HACKS since the beginning of their existance.

Furthermore, i ordered a PS3Key with a company, and they have done nothing than to move my order back in the row of pre-orders, which is VERY FRUSTRATING!

Lastly: i would really like to take part the homebrew scene in whatever way i can.

Well, I don't really know if I'm truly worth giving it too. I'm pretty poor, Not able to buy one of these, Or to buy a Dev board. Not really much to say besides that, I'd love to get my PS3 hacked, I haven't updated my PS3 since GeoHot for announced that he was making progress, I'm on 3.13 I think, So yeah, I've been waiting a long while for this, Been checking this site every week for the past 2 years in hopes of something happening like this. And now that it finally has, Well it's truly amazing that it finally has, I just hope that the Dev's don't get scared off by this, I hope the PS3 doesn't end up like the PSP. Regardless, I'd love to have this tool, It'd be enough to get me interasted in making some homebrew, Not that I'll have much of any clue what I'm doing, But maybe I can learn to make some cool little games. I'd want a ps3 key because as much as I love customizing my ps3 and buying all sorts of crazy stuff for it I cannot afford it! All my money goes toward food,transporta tion to and from the full time college I go to. I've also never had a SNES....would be cool to play some of them games from back then.

I should win this PS3KEY because ive just bought another playstation today replacing my YLOD 40gb ps3. I was not going to buy it if it wasn't for this website with all its up to date news on the latest hacks persuading me to hack the shit out of a playstation. In total ive spent £705 on sony crap (40gb ps3 = £420 + 320gb move bundle = £285) thats $1115... Thats a shit load of money just to play games so... Help a brother out

hell yeah, i've been looking for a way to unlock the full potential of the ps3 since day one i evan hunt thouugh pawn shops for a hudred miless just to get a ps3 w/ backwards compatabilty not to mention linux i stopped updatteing firmware a verison 3.15 just to keep this feature with a ps3 key i could reverse engineer and post the specs and scamatics not to mention use it to keep otheros in a custom FW (are we allowed to even say that)
i cant afford to buy a new phone just to use psgroove but i could find a way to try to find a way to make other usb devices do this plus i just want one !!! heath657

I believe I should win it because I'm the world's only broke Jew (no seriously). I work 40 hours a week to pay the rent, go to college full time, and in my free time I do work for practically free. I modify, customize, and repair electronics. I refurbish computers and donate them to people at work to give to their kids for school work. I'm in the midst of a computer science degree and hope to work closely with the scene to develop exploits for phones and consoles as well as develop Homebrew solutions. To do that, I need test machines to work with and respective exploits. I could afford these things if I didn't do everything for free. It's about time that I got something for free.

This is my first time to try this competition. and also my first time to comment / post. =) ALWAYS open psp-hacks and ps3-hacks all the time everytime i online on my laptop.

And i dont have the "kaching" to buy something like this. I always wanted to. Even waiting for ps3 hacks that I can use. But unfortunately i dont have any of those. Dingo, Usb... I hope i am lucky enough to win.

I have a PS3 and I have done some hacking in the past but I was unsuccessful. Anyway people were mad at me because I lied about what I was able to do for the PS3 scene. Now I accidentally had a a feature removed, but that shouldn't affect my odds of winning, because I really would like a way to hack my PS3 to play games too. I hope I win because I fried my blackra1n iphone in the process. Thanks for your time

I'm not going to go off into some sob story about how I really need/want one, but don't deserve it anyway in the hopes that you'll think I'm so humble and give it to me anyway.(Why else would I be posting, right?) I do have access to a TI84. I can execute the exploit on my PS3. What I don't have is the ability to program in ASM on a TI84. I really want to help out the PS3 Hacking community, and having another means of executing the exploit would help me do just that. That's all. I feel I should win this competition for several reasons.

I'm skint. Not just skint, but massively overdrawn from student loans. I just graduated and can't find a job no matter where I look!

It's virtually impossible to get one of these in London. I've looked everywhere and have been waiting weeks for one particular site to send it. (More money wasted!)

Well.. i'm not really sure i should win this, i mean, i haven't really done anything to deserve it but entering the page once in a while. However, you can bet i would be most greateful. I live in Uruguay, (country i'm sure many people didn't even know it existed before the fifa world cup in which we got to semi-finals). My parents got me a ps3 last year, when they went to usa in a bussines trip, and had have it since then. The thing is here ps3 games are incredibely expensive (+ u$s 100) as there are no official distributors from sony, moreover, a dollar here is worth much more than one there. Making the fact of getting games a grat problem.

I remember when geohot said he had hacked the ps3, i almost passed out of the exitement, imagine when psjailbreak went out. Still, no one selled any sticks here, and i've been looking if i had any device they have made a port for, but with no luck.

1. iv been here for almost 4 years helping people in the forums, i have been known to be a ass but i have helped more people then put down.
2. if i win and i get a pic one i will write a tutorial on how to add a usb boot loader so it can be upgraded via usb

I think I deserve a Ps3 key because I've been a dash-hacks supporter for a very long time. I started off with my phat psp that I got for my birthday a few years ago (RIP). Since I got my ps3 I've been on this site since the beginning, I even remember the tiff exploit that didn't make it anywhere, and obviously I was around when geo hot took away our other os. Since 06, I've been a Ps3-hacks supported even when The ps3 was still "unhackable." I think I deserve the ps3 key because Whether I win or not, I will still keep supporting the dashhacks network. :)

I would like to have this to simply be able to play backups from my hard drive. I bought my PS3 off of Craigslist and unknown to me, it had no Blu-Ray drive inside it once I got it home. I primarily use it as a media server now for my 3 year old son so he can watch movies. Being able to use the full potential of the PS3 that I got taken for would be nice as well. Luckily my firmware still stands at 3.41 also. Should I win it would be a very nice item to have, if not then I'm glad I was considered.

It gives us time to talk and battle each other and vent frustrations. Life does not give us a lot of time to "hang" out but when we do we always want to find ways of do new and exciting things.

I believe that the one who should win this is me, because I was saving for a year to get the tickets to a trip with my friends but when I found out that the the ps3 was hacked succesfully (again!) I had to let my friends down and use the savings for a psjailbreak. There's still time to tell my friends i'm going but I need this first. Key word: NEED!

I should have this key because....

I have a good interest in development in the PS3 scene, my uses for this key will be second to none, specially in being able to test compatability of software for the PS3 and letting the people who need to know within the first moments of the software hitting the net.

The reason other people on here shouldn't have it. I aint that selfish, who wins wins, and respect to them if they get it. I'm not a sore looser, I just hope the person who does win it, will be as useful as I will be in utilising it to support the scene.

Due to my health condition (cancer) mmy ps3 is the only thing that can keep me alive.. so if i die it will be in your consience that you could have helpd a guy with cancer. I played playstation one since 10.
I played playstation two since 16.
I played playstation portable since 18 and i notice something different from the others.
It has the power of homebrew.

and I intend to use my playstation 3 to its maximum capabilities like my psp does.To use ALL the homebrew software like nobody in here does.
I appreciate what homebrews can do,and for that,

I think that I should be chosen to win the PS3Key, because my roommate keeps taking my iPhone 3G and uses it to hack his ps3 without asking. I spent 2 hours one night trying to find phone, but finally gave up. The next day, my friend threw it to me and didnt even say one word. Hmm. Why do I deserve the PS3Key? To be honest, maybe I don't. I'll tell you something though, everytime I hear news of a PSGroove port coming to a device I may have, I get very excited. PSGroove port coming to PSP? Then I hear it's impossible. PSGroove port coming to iPod Touch? I have a 3G, it's for 1G's. TI-84? I have a TI-83. Today, I woke up excitedly as I heard that iPod's with Rockbox can run PSGroove, only to find out that specifically iPod Nano 2G isn't supported which happens to be the model I have. I've been on 3.41 for at least a month, with no second PS3. So much bad news for me, Greg. I can see myself a month from now, most likely in the same position. Truth be told though, I love to hear about all the new things we can do when I go to this site first thing in the morning =)

Hi, I live on a small island in the middle on the Indian Ocean and god knows how everything is so hard to get here due lot of tax, since we are kinda isolated, I started working last year and with a salary of approx 250usd, i managed to buy a PS3 for approx 425usd, but didn't expect the games to be so expensive too, around 55usd and they are not even the latest games. So i have a ps3, with only 2 games which i got when buying a second controller and 1 I got on ebay, but still with the shipping and the 15% VAT, it was still rather expensive.

Well i am developing more homebrew for the ps3. getting my hands on the first few ps3key's may be helpful as i realize these ps3keys are different from the others. i would be very honored to offer any help to the scene. together we stand together we fall. sony will pay dearly for the removal of otheros and now for screwing up all the third party usb controllers. i have already lost two 60gb launch ps3's to faulty ps3 firmware updates. it just froze and needed a reflashing or repair from sony but they wouldn't do it because i wasn't within the warranty period anymore. First of all thank you for bringing up this contest. I live in a third world country and there are absolutely no PS Jailbreaks available here. Even if they are, i cannot buy because i come from a very poor family and since i am the only earning member in the home i have to take care of my blind brother, deaf father, wheelchaired mother, siamese twin sister, legless grandfather, allergic grandmother, rabies affected dog and furless cat. If i get the PS3 key, i would sell it here locally for a high cost (because none are available as i said earlier) and can feed my PERFECT family for some days.

I think I should win because I bought a ps3 a year after they released it and suffered a burnt out blu ray disc lens after just a month of owning it. Hi

Regarding the PS3Key. I got me one and its working so far with the Backup Manager 2 after the update. However there is one problem:
Unable to play Street Fighter 4 or Super Street Fighter 4.
both those games start, and I get stuck at the ''No saved game, create new one?'' screen. I cannot move up or down with the controller and the only thing I can do is quit the game with the PS button. Any ideas ?

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
