YouTube For PS3! (New App Rolling Out)

It's been a while since the PS Vita YouTube app came out for the PS Vita, and since then it seems that the guys at Sony and Google/YouTube have been working on something to make the YouTube experience even more seamless.
An announcement has been made stating that the new YouTube app for PS3 will be rolling out as of 14/08/12. The interface has been made to work smoothly with the PS3's controls, with a screenshot below letting you see the interface.
The app allows you to log in to your YouTube account, giving you easy access to subscribed channels, as well as all other community/trolling activities you might like to get up to. One feature I am looking forward to testing is control of the app via smartphone, allowing you to "push" a video from your mobile phone to your TV.
A video review will be posted later on during the week showing you guys everything you can do with what looks to be a great app that was long overdue for the PS3.

Anyone knows when will it be out for UK PS Store ?

Not of much use.... Those who are running on custom firmware wont have access to it....
its preety useless.Since 3.60 keys are out...

I urge you not to updagade firmware either. It may be luring trick of Sony. See the link... There's no new thing in the update 4.21..

Not all of us are on cstom firmware so it is of use

If you have a UK account then just sign off....create a US account and download it from there. Then sign in back to your account and the app will remain ;)

Keep in mind that people with OFW also visit this website, also some people have 2 PS3's, one for OFW. So this news IS of use. Yes there is nothing new in 4.21, this Youtube app will be avaliable later.

This "app" sucks. I just downloaded it, Now you can't go on Youtube through the PS3's browser, and THAT had keyboard support. This doesn't. Way to go, chalk up another piece of win.

i downloaded this but when i go to the you tube page it keep saying to download it. (the initial page) Its as if he youtube page does not recognised that i already downloaded the app. I downloaded it 4 times now and the same thing. What im i doing wrong?
