GenesisPlus GX v1.0 for PS3 Released

From this test release to version 1.0 is GenesisPlus GX for the PS3. Save states added, audio fixed, and other additions make up version 1.0, which are all bound to better your SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive experience. GenesisPlus GX v1.0:

A new and better rom menu from Snes9x
Added settings for enabling/disabling FPS
Stretch screen, pal60
Auto detection of the refresh rate
Fixed sound
Added savestates
Shader Filter X2SaI, Hq4x, Super Eagle and many others

Problems? Try plugging the USB mass storage device with Genesis roms into the right-most USB port on the PS3. Refer to "readme_ps3.txt" for more info. Download: GenesisPlus GX v1.0 - source: psgroove

extract the 2 files from zip

genesis pkg
usb dev 000 folder

put pkg in root of usb drive and use the jail break installer

open usb dev folder, inside is genplus folder. copy this to your usb drive.

inside the genplus folder is a roms folder. put your games in there.

you should be good to go.

at the moment there if you want to change games you have to restart emulator.

i'm sure the great developer will add in the next update!

umm I'm getting an error when starting the app up might just stick to mednefen's emu since that already works flawless but thanx to the developer and looking forward to the psx emu on 3.15 firmware !

Still holding off on this as.......
Im not a fan of needing a usb thumb drive in everytime I use the Emulator
(roms can be on the HDD but,
(/genplus/genplus/roms/genplus/bios/genplus/state /genplus/sram,)

Why can i not see any roms in the folder when i start the sega emulator? i have put them in roms folder? just dosent show nothing.

There's too many ways to hack the PS3 at this point... LOL
If you need to, just purchase a board online like I did.
They're pretty damn cheap now...

I would still love to see a PSP hack still...

Or... better yet... hopefully some progress can be made to ACID firmware... :)

and then delete main folder then it finds the roms.

You can play ROMs from the internal HDD, you just need to have the USB drive plugged in.

I play the ROMs from HDD0 just fine.

I found this page, so I guess I just download this and copy the PSGroove files using that and I'm good to go. Still a little confused as to which is the most stable and current build of PsGroove though...

make sure you put your usb drive in the 2nd port, if your roms are not showing up :)

this is really weird by the way, figured I'd give you guys a warning about it. the usb key I got, its either an AVR Key or a PS3 Key, I'm not sure yet, but it shows up as "Unknown Device" and the correct driver from the Atmel site doesn't recognize the device, so it won't install. On top of that, I tried launching the PS3 with it a few times to see if it came preloaded with any payloads and it didn't activate the hack but now my blu-ray movies don't work. The drive just loads forever and I get a black screen. i left it running like that for a long time on the 3rd or 4th try and the whole unit froze. It still works and I can still hack it with my iphone but the Blu Ray movies no longer work.

there is a saturn emu in the works. its on this site - yabuse. its very early days, the frame rate is really choppy. guardian heroes is one i'd be wanting to play.

waiting for a hereafter generation to arrive. The possible is truly there for this device, but based on my current folder of tech engines (laptop, desktop, iphone, itouch) i'm not inevitable this engine quite justifies the price at this time for me.
