Genesis Plus GX v1.5 Released

From squarepusher to git, and back down again is Genesis Plus GX v1.5, made available to you by torrenegra of elotrolado. This is being called version 1.5, although I believe it to be an unofficial build, seeing as it doesn't come from squarepusher directly. Nonetheless it is everything from squarepusher's git repository, compiled up to and including the latest commit; commit f19591... And if ya don't know... Genesis Plus GX is a Sega Master System and Mega Drive/Genesis emulator. This particular PS3 port is based off the Nintendo Wii/GameCube version, found here; however, you'll find features unique to the PS3 version, all of which are detailed on the download page. Always good to see updates, though its unfortunate that none of them are as big as "the Geohot era".  I wonder how hacked his PS3 is now considering he is probably still going, just not publishing it.

Maybe there's a new PS3 hacking and anonymity age coming thanks to GlobaLeak, an opensource whistleblower software that's going to be accessible via TOR (and using Tor2Web also via th Web). I'd really love to see the PS3 hacking scene making good use of it.

Custom Soundtrack still doesn't work for me. The past few releases of this emulator said it was included but I can't seem to get it to work.

He still opened up a lot of possibilities for PS3 hackers, which helped a lot when developers weren't worried about Sony jumping all over them.  Now that the tables have turned and hackers need to be careful about publishing hacks, it's a different story. 

If you were the one who cracked the PS3 wide open and got threatened by a company as big as Sony, I doubt you would have gotten as far as GeoHot did (illiteracy doesn't help at all).
