VHBL Running on Firmware 1.81

While there isn't much of a reason to update to firmware 1.81 other than to play some LittleBigPlanet, those of you that have may soon have a savior on your hands. According to an article at Wololo, the 1.81 firmware has actually done very little to stop VHBL from loading on their system. Essentially all they did was patch the specific Monster Hunter exploit without taking any sort of care to find any way around some of the other methodologies. As usual Sony, your quick fix to the problem doesn't seem to have paid off.

As we can see from this video, everybody's favorite Vita loader is still fully operational on firmware 1.81. As is per usual, the clip shows an up to date handheld running both Wagic and gPSP on the system's embedded PSP emulator once again. Unfortunately for us scene members however, the wait for a release will begin once again as the specific game title used for this demo was not released to the public. That being said, if you can possibly hold off on updating it would be wise to do so. In due time when it seems a bit more convenient for the community to strike back, you can bet that Nuer0n will be making his presence felt in a much bigger way. At least for now we can say this is yet another battle won!
