Some Notes About Urbanix and the Future of VHBL

Along with the hotly debated PS Vita CFW leak, it was also revealed that there is a bootable game exploit in the PSP Mini of Urbanix. If you live in Europe, you can actually get that title for free. Here are some additional details on this discovery and what may come of it.

At its present state, the PS Vita scene has thrived off a series of exploits found within PSP games to launch the homebrew loader known as VHBL. A few days ago however, a hack that Nuer0n's team had been holding on to found  its way into the wrong hands and was leaked to the public. Because of this, the loader's developers are now in something of a scramble to get their product running on Vita firmware 1.81 out of the obvious assumption that the guys over at Sony won't be leaving that hole open for too much longer. That being said, fans have been anxiously awaiting the release so that they can upgrade their systems safely.

Thanks to a promotion that has been going on for quite some time now, Europeans can get Urbanix for free simply by navigating to this page and clicking the "like" button. You will then be brought to a page where you can download the game free of charge. If you have the ability to take advantage of this, I highly suggest you do so now! If you've had enough time of waiting for an updated release, Neur0n closed his post by saying that some code will need to be reworked, but an update should be coming shortly. He reminds the community that the code for his loader is in fact open source, so if users are so inclined they might be able to build a new VHBL on their own. Unless you've got those mad skills though, you'll just have to wait and see what the future holds. No matter what territory you are in, you should strongly consider finding your way to Urbanix whether you have to pay for it or not!

UPDATE: I have just read several reports that Urbanix has been removed from the American and EU Playstation Networks, so hopefully you were able to get it fast enough.
