As the February 20th media event hosted by Sony draws closer, it's a bit of mystery as to what the company will be announcing. So far, there have been rumors pointing towards the unveiling of the new PlayStation 4 console. That's not the only thing that may make an appearance that day. According to recently published patents, Sony is looking to push out a redesigned PS Vita featuring a bunch of new additions. First and foremost, the second gen PS Vita will have 4G connectivity, which means taking advantage of the latest technologies available. (Aside from LTE)

Along with the redesign, the new Vita will pack new USB, HDMI and power supply ports, all of which will be located at the bottom of the handheld. This redesigned PS Vita will replace the already existing model among with price cuts to memory cards and a new firmware update to top it all off.
It'll only be a matter of time before we'll see what Sony is up to with both the PS4 and this newly designed Vita.

Usually sony axes features so we tend to jump on first gen systems, now they may add enough to make it obsolete just like the older PSPs could barely handle newer games near the end of its lifespan.
I thought they would learn from that.
