I, for one, don't buy many games for my PS3, Xbox or Wii unless they are maked down below $30. This is because I don't spend much time in front of a tv. The games that are coming out for the PS Vita are really good and will allow me to have the "in front of the tv" feel that I get from PS3 while I'm on the go.

hell yeah its worth it, just look at the graphics and capabilities it can do, especialy that some games are the same exact on ps3 but portable so yes i agree that the price rages are fair

For those who have long commutes and or spend little time at home, I can understand that the portable aspect may be well worth the cost. But from a content perspective, I'm on the fence, leaning towards "not really". Portable variations of established franchise titles (i.e. Uncharted: DA), have been shown to be less content-rich than even their years-old big brothers. Because honestly, why would you risk a quality successor on a portable instead of a home console with a massively larger userbase, and where you can charge more? Having owned a PSP and DS, I found so many of such games lackluster, and unworthy of their price tags. I feel that's just the nature of the beast. On the flip side, fans don't necessarily want straight console ports either, unless they're new and released at the same. (Having to spend $50+ on a game that you can get for $30 on a PS3 for ex. is just wrong, even with a few additions).
And from a business perspective, it's possible that charging such high costs for games/peripherals is the only way for Sony and publishers to profit enough to make it all worthwhile.

I paid about 30€ for each of my Vita games... that isnt too much more than a PSP title...
Especially if you keep in mind that games like Persona 3 Portable are 35€...
