PS Vita has seen its latest firmware update being put up and taken down much like the proverbial yo-yo. -Hacks has all the news covered on time and up to date as always!
With PS Vita firmware 1.65 beings somewhat problematic for some users, the update was released and then taken down within a very short space of time. For those who did download the update in that short space, slide your fingers along your screen to PS Vita Firmware 1.66.
The new number means a fresh update for all users (1.65 downloaded or not). The update comes with all the features listed below, and some applications (trophies I mainly noticed) seem to load a lot faster.
Investigate and leave a comment if there is anything Sony decided to leave out!

"I wonder if the issue wasn't maybe an encryption sorta thing? Clearly it wasn't functionality, as it blocked the HBL, and if you already have it, everything will be fine... Maybe they used the same random value twice again with the old update? 3.55 CFW again? LOL :p"
And the fact that they updated the FW again (1.65) to overwrite the old FW (1.65) might be a sign. ;)
