The scene continues to flow for the Vita with the release of an updated OpenCMA application by VirtuousFlame, for those rocking a Vita with official firmware 2.00 or higher. The new version comes as a result of the changes that Sony implemented in the 2.xx firmware lineup. With that, OpenCMA 4.5 got its step up to OpenCMA 5. The good news however, is that OpenCMA 4.5 still continues to work for those still on firmware 1.81. For those new to the OpenCMA application, it basically allows you to transfer content between your Vita without having an Internet connection. It serves as a convenience for those who do not have access to the Internet to begin with and as a safeguard in the sense that Sony won't send any silent or forced updates.
Installation is pretty simple as well. All it takes is a replacement of files, after you have downloaded the official CMA application from Sony and a simple .bat file operation. After that, you'll be set. You can download OpenCMA 5 below.
