Wololo: VHBL Progress Report

Submitted by tbag; July 16, 2012

Wololo has given a little update on his and neur0n's progress with VHBL, and it looks good.  So keep your PS Vita at the ready and keep reading.

As you should all know by now wololo and his buddy neur0n have been hard at work at getting the next version of VHBL up and running.  Well, now being the great guy that he is, wololo has posted a quick update on his blog to keep us all up to date about how the VHBL progress has been going...and the news is good so far.

According to wololo and the most recent blog post he has successfully ported the exploit found in the European version of the still unknown mystery game to the US version. All that is left really before release is to continue to debug some small issues and make the exploit as stable as possible.  Now all of this is of course hinging on if the exploit is patched with the next official firmware update that will bring PSOne functionality to the PS Vita handheld.

So what do you think?  Are you excited yet? It looks like we certainly are getting close to the next VHBL update thanks to the hard work from wololo, neur0n and I'm sure some other hard working devs.

I really wish there was an exploit that didn't require me to buy a game in order for it to work. I mean it would be fine if the same game worked for a really long time or a year, but with every new version comes a new game you have to buy for it to work.
