Mortal Kombat Konfirmed for PS Vita

Submitted by OS_Gamer; January 17, 2012

The classic fighter has been konfirmed (see what I did there?) for the PS Vita. Finish him!

Sony had previously hinted that Mortal Kombat was coming to the PS Vita, but today NetherRealm Studios, the team behind the classic fighting game, and Wanre Bros. have confirmed that indeed we will be tearing off the heads and impaling our opponents on the portable device.

Creative director Ed Boon (he who Noob Saibot was partly named after, along with co-MK creator John Tobias) said that they want to create a "compelling experience on the PlayStation Vita" and that they have created "original game content and new features" for this protable version of Mortal Kombat. He didn't elaborate further what that content would be, so look for a big press release sometime soon.

Will you be picking up Mortal Kombat for the PS Vita?
