LittleBigPlanet Takes Costumes to Cross-Platform

When LittleBigPlanet first arrived on the scene in 2008, Sony touted it as one of the premiere social gaming experiences of this console generation.

With three other titles developed since that time, its hard not to argue that the sackboy has now become a household name for PlayStation fans that have now spent hours upon hours creating and customizing their gaming experience to fit their own unique lifestyle.

In what seems like a smart move, Sony seems to have acknowledged all of this time spent building and collecting by recently offering gamers a slew of new cross-platform gaming options. At Gamescom we heard about cross-buy which will allow the most hardcore fans to play the games they love at home on their PS3 and on the go with their PS Vita. Following suit with this concept, Sony has also expanded this to the use of costumes as well. Any costume you have purchased then, will be universally compatible between LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet Vita, and LittleBigPlanet Karting.

With just the Assassins Creed and April Fools options being excluded from Karting specifically, everything else will be completely usable on a gradual basis. Sackboy customizers can rejoice today. It means all that hard work wont be going to waste.
