Sony's new Senior VP of brand marketing kind of just mentioned it out of hand, but yeah, the Vita's gonna get itself some COD.
In an interview with Geoff Keighley, Guy Longworth, Sony's new Senior Vice President of brand marketing, said that his kids are really looking forward to Call of Duty on the PS Vita and that it's coming this autumn. He also said that the Vita version of COD will be a real "game changer for the platform."
There was no mention of whether it would be a port or entirely new game, but given that Black Ops 2 has been all but confirmed and new COD games usually come out in the fall expect it to be a port that will release alongside the console versions.
A game changer? OK, I'm not a huge COD fan but I'm interested to see what they can do with this if they can back up this bold statement. It could just be more marketing BS, of course, but I hope not.
