Back when the PlayStation Vita was launched in the US it was available as either a wifi or 3G Version. Unfortunately that was not the case for their neighbor to the north. I can imagine this was disappointing to many early adaptors of the new PS Vita handheld who couldn't chose a 3G version, and if you are part of that group than I have some good news for you.

On October 2 Sony will be launching a 3G version of the PlayStation Vita to those of you in the north. The new 3G PS Vita will make its debut in Canada at $299.99 and will come with vouchers for Gravity Rush and Unit 13. The 3G service will be available through Rogers as two different service plans: 250 MB for $15 a month or 5 GB for $35 a month but don’t be fooled. Although you can use 3G for things like Facebook and Flicker you will be unable to connect to the PlayStation Store or play your games online with 3G.
