If you've been following the PS Vita scene, odds are you're well aware that there have been a ton of opportunities for you to open up some homebrew functionality on your console. Between Monster Hunter, Urbanix, and Mad Blocker Alpha, all being released within weeks of each other, both firmware 1.80 and 1.81 quickly fell victim to the small but dedicated software modding crew. However, as is with any game based hack, those titles have been swiftly either patched or completely removed from shelves, leaving many homebrew hopefuls wanting something more.
If this sounds like you, you might be interested to know that the famed Vita developer known as Frostegater has posted a poll on the forums asking if gamers would be interested in the possibility of yet another game security flaw being exposed. That being said, the fact that they are asking implies that there mist be some more options available. You can head on over to the poll to let your voice be heard, but let me explain the options first. By selecting that you would like it released, obviously this will offer everyone one more chance to join the scene. However, by selecting no, we have the option of hanging on to our secret to hopefully be used in a later version firmware. Whatever you decide is up to you, but we will do our best to keep you posted on the data when and if we are allowed to make it public.
