How To Transfer Homebrew on Urbanix

Submitted by Christopher Groux; October 05, 2012

Getting some of your favorite PSP homebrew fully working within the newly-released custom firmware can be a little bit tricky if you've never really had to work within the PSP file architecture, but once you have it down the first time, this process should work for pretty much anything you want to boot. As far as actual requirements go, the only thing that you'll need to have this work  in your favor is a working PS Vita with a exploitable copy of Urbanix, as well as a copy of some archiving software such as Winrar. If that sounds all well and good to  you, let's get started!

- First, navigate to where the explout is in the CMA (probably C:\My Documents\PSvita\PSAVEDATA\d6def6b623fe3e46\NPUZ00077\)

- Make a folder called "PSP" and inside that another folder called "GAME"

- Inside "GAME" make a folder named after your homebrew title

-Now once inside your "HOMEBREW" folder past all of the files that haver to do with your game (like the eboots and pram.sfos etc)

- Navigate back to where the exploit and the "PSP" folder reside, and right click on PSP. If you're using Winrar you should see the "add to archive" option.

- Change the compression method to "store" and "zip" as opposed to rar.

- Name the archive whatever you like, but remember the .ZIP must ALWAYS be in CAPITALS, so make that change now.

- Transfer your Urbanix save, run the exploit and you should see your games listed there. Scroll over to them hit X and then install. DONE!

Wololo of course has additional guides at the source for those looking to install things other than homebrew, but this should at the very least get you started when it comes to launching with Urbanix. Congrats. You now know how to use one of the coolest exploits in the Vita scene today!

Thanks for the guide, i had managed to get the ISO's working but could never get that damn PSPFiler to show up in the CFW menu. After a while i realized that the .ZIP extension was in lowercase -_-! Changed it to uppercase and it showed up the next time i booted into the custom menu!
