neur0n Defeats Sony's Protections Again - VHBL On 1.80

That's right, not even a day has passed and neur0n has the Vita Half Byte Loader going on his Vita running the latest firmware update and with the latest version of the Content Manager Application. With the abundance of features that Sony has packed into the update, they also set out to silently patch the exploit(s) in which VHBL was loading with. Not only that, memory cards are now locked to one PSN account meaning that you cannot have data from multiple accounts across cards and have restricted the type of files that can be copied over to a card. With all of this patching and locking down closing the doors to homebrew, a window (maybe two), has opened up. As you can see here, neur0n has demonstrated just that.

I can't even get VHBL, im not 1.80, but i'm above what i assume was the FW cutoff for being able to install it.

Is there any way to get it or will I have to wait another 2-3 updates to see something?

Cool can't wait to use it. Also for those who may not know while playing a psone classic you can press and hold the touch screen to access the emulator settings :lol:

That's because THERE WAS NO PROTECTION IN THE FIRST PLACE, only a few file name rules sony added to make things cleaner, it turns out vhbl was violation the new rules.

Yes they do work. I trasfered over silent hill, all resident evils, Both castlevania games and Final fantasy 7. All work 100%

So from the article it mentions that only one account per card, does this mean the 'reseting to factory default to check on another region's demos or games' wont work anymore? I currently am on EU account but I occassionally switch to JPN account using the reseting to factory defaults method.

thats exactly what it means, i have multiple psn accounts and all of my ps1 classics are on a different account so now i have to go buy another memory card. when u restore factory settings it tells u your mem card is linked to a different psn account and cant be used now
