Native "Hello World" Released by YifanLu

Submitted by Christopher Groux; September 13, 2012

Just over a week ago, the famed portable hacker known as YifanLu introduced  us to a software known as UVLoader. In his appeal for devs, he stated that he has found a user mode exploit in the PS Vita that needs some probing into. For the skeptics out there, he has released a video showing his efforts today.

For those of you that don't really understand how Sony's handhelds have been designed in recent years, the user mode is a portion of the actual console that will offer developers a good portion of resources to play around with. Unlike Nuer0n's ever popular VHBL, this particular hack doesn't just use and abuse the resources of the Vita's PSP emulator, but rather this is the first time that we have seen a real look at what homebrew has the potential to look like when it is accessing the actual resources of the new handheld console.

As we can see from the short video, this particular spinning cube is a lot more detailed than the Hello Worlds that we have seen in the past. From this peek alone then, we can see that potential homebrewers will have quite a lot of space to deal with even while remaining trapped in the confines that user mode has. It should be stressed that this exploit should in no way pave the road for any sort of illegal action on the system through ISOs, which makes it all the more exciting for the most loyal and hardcore of scene members. To take your own look at this proof check out the source link below. If it's an indication, this is an exciting time to be a Vita owner.

I think the title is misleading, yifanlu didn't release the Hello World, just a video showcasing it.

Maybe if you got off your fat arse and got a job you might be able to afford games for the Vita. I hope that ISO support NEVER comes to the Vita so you cant rip off the game devs. As someone who has done multiple programming courses I know just how much time and effort it takes to code anything good. For just one game it can take a shitload of programmers working around the clock to make a good game..and you wanna just download it for nuttin?

You are a leeching POS! You couldnt program hello world if your life depended on it. Im praying that ISO never taint the Vita scene. Only reason for custom firmware and hacks is to play homebrew games and apps, nobody NEEDS nor WANTS illegal ISO games...and you dont count you leeching parasite!

Oh and give up the pot mate, its a gateway drug that leads to harsh things.

You might actually be able to learn a little grammar to write in your posts if you didnt kill so many damn braincells with ur pot. Nobody likes a drug addict...let alone a LEECHING PARASITE of a drug addict!

Your home is probably a shithole, you sell all your possessions to pay for your drug habit...then come and cry on here about never buying a Vita unless you can get games for nuttin LOL. I bought my Vita day 1 and i have a stack of games. If everyone was like you (i shudder to think of that kinda world lol) and everyone just downloaded games and never bought one...how long you think companies would make games for the Vita? THEY WOULDNT! Because why make a game when everyone would just illegally download it for free? Why do you think the PSP wasnt doing so well in the end? coz leeches like you ripped off games!

Note - For the Vita homebrew devs out there reading this, PLEASE i beg you do NOT release ISO support...NOBODY WANTS IT! Those of us who work hard for a living can pay for our games, and if you dont work and want ISO support...BAD LUCK BUDDY, get a fuckin job and PAY for your games, then you wont feel like a parasitic leeching scumbag inside!

"Nuer0n's ever popular VHBL"

he only ported it to his exploit and here it sounds as he made HBL to begin with

m0skit0, JJS, wololo are the people that actually made the thing, TBH there has been way more then just them working on it but they really are the main guys that come to mind right now

Oh btw my posts were more directed to the leeches in the community NOT the homebrew devs if it came across like that, I think you guys are doing a great job with all the homebrew and VHBL and native hacks and so forth. Just wanted to let you all know you have at least 1 fan here who appreciates all your hard work. Pay no attentions to the parasites who only ever use hacks to rippoff games, we all know homebrew games (some are pretty awesome) and apps are what this community is all about! We can all do without the ISO leeches!
