To prep for PlayStation Plus coming to the PS Vita, Sony will be releasing a new firmware update for the handheld console. This firmware update marking the big v2.00 will feature a new application and a wealth of improvements made elsewhere. In the preview video posted to the PlayStation Blog, a new Email application is showcased. The Email application can be used to access up to 5 email accounts across Gmail, Yahoo (natively) and other personal accounts (through manual settings) on your Vita. Along with emails, you are able to store 5,000 contacts and receive alerts through the Vita's notification system.
The Content Manager application has also been updated. The CMA is now able to connect to your Online Storage, (if you have a PlayStation Plus subscription) as well as wirelessly connect to your PC for transferring content. With video playback, closed captioning is supported as well as 1080p videos provided that they "match the specs" of the Vita. Finally, the browser sees performance enhancements which includes improved HTML and Javscript engine and improved content display. Not only that, the current browser page can now be tweeted.
This is all that's coming for the Vita, in the new firmware, which is expected to drop this coming Monday.

It more than likely will. Just hang back for a while after it's released to see if there's any updates.
