Control iTunes with KinecTunes Using Voice Commands

Wanna impress your friends at the next social gathering you host? Why not show off your Kinect programming chops by issuing voice commands in order to select individual songs or artists while controlling your iTunes player. That's just what Matthew Netkow has accomplished and made available for everyone to try out. KinecTunes uses the Kinect SDK along with C# and the iTunes C# COM library to issue voice commands to iTunes and comes with the following features:
  • Play specific songs or artists
  • Pause, Resume, or Stop the currently playing song
  • Two versions: Command-line tool and Windows Form app
The program requires Windows 7, a Kinect and various Microsoft Speech code libraries. You can download the source HERE or from Codeplex which has all the supported libraries and installation instructions. Visit netkow.com for more.
