KinectUser - Multi-Use Kinect Tracking Application

This great application developed by Patricio Gonzalez serves several different purposes making it the perfect tool for isolating individuals in a specific area. If you ever wanted to set up your kinect on a busy street corner and needed to isolate the tracking area to a specific region or only focus on an the precise size of an individual, this is exactly what you're looking for. Built using OpenFrameworks and OpenNI, Patricio was able to build this application with a one-stop-shop in mind in terms of custom tracking areas among other several other practical uses:

• User tracking with indicators set for the lateral distance in relation to the floor
• Pre-set tracking area. When a user steps out of the area, tracking ceases. Configured with the mouse or in the XML code.
• Editable poses and gestures in XML code
• Hand tracking allowing configurable poses that trigger TUIO cursor
