Kinect Juggling Application

Submitted by Jared; May 08, 2011

Practical application, not so much. Great demonstration of hand tracking programs developed for the Kinect, hell yeah. This cool kinect hack was written in C++ and allows you to throw different coloured balls around from hand to hand. The physics are well done as the balls will follow the trajectory path you throw it at and start floating back down. When the source of the ball is determined to be close to a hand, it will lock on and start tracking your hand movement. This allows the user to juggle three balls at a time if you got what it takes. Check out the Google code project page HERE and don't miss the video below. Enjoy!
