Not too long ago I posted a story about the current stagnated state of the jailbreaking community, but if a couple of scene figure heads have their way hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer after the release of iOS 6.1.

Apple seems to be starting off 2013 with a bang. Developers have noted that mentions of a new model iPhone and even a new version of iOS are coming from their app requests and usage logs. Could this be the first real sign of two more big releases for Cupertino?

We all know that the Dev's / Hackers who find these vulnerabilities in our iPhones, really do, work their asses off to get them released as soon as possible. Donations for this seems to be stirring up a little trouble between others.

In 3 months time will be the annual WWJCor JailbreakCon. As many of you know, it is the equivelent of Apple's WWDC but for those within the jailbreak community. Mainly iPhone developers and hackers. Lets take a look at who's attending and speaking.....

Singaporean Lim Ding Wen just 9 years old may just be the youngest iPhone developer. He has released an application on the Appstore, Doodle Kids - an abstract drawing application for making fun little doodles that he created to keep his little sisters entertained. The app has already been downloaded over 4000 times in just two weeks.
Even more interesting is the fact that the apps were created initially for an Apple IIGS emulator before they were ported over to the iPhone, bridging an interesting compatibility (and generation) gap.
His father, Lim Thye Chean, is a technology officer at a local firm who also writes iPhone applications of is own.
"Every evening we check the statistics emailed to us (by iTunes) to see who has more downloads," the older Lim said.
The boy's next project is a science fiction game called "Invader Wars".

Well, It appears what we told you a few days ago was real. Redsn0w is in fact a iPod Touch 2G jailbreak! Ah, yeah! Finally! After months and months of waiting for an iPod Touch 2G jailbreak it's finally here. Well, technically it's done but you need to be tethered to a computer to "jailbreak" everything the iPod Touch 2G boots which makes it impractical for most people. But, the iPod Touch 2G jailbreak is completely doable. The iPhone Dev Team just need to remove the need for you to patch the iPod Touch via a computer everytime you boot the iPod.
So there you go. iPod Touch 2G jailbroken. Stay Tuned for more on redsn0w later on!
