Remember that time there was Gevey unlock for all Basebands?

Well that's all finished now! A few days ago we posted news about an unlock solution for all basebands and a day later announcing the release of the Gevey Ultra Sim 5.1. Well since we reported it to you....we have some bad news (but not all bad)

As expected, Apple has patched this little exploit in their software which means if you didn't unlock your iPhone using this method when you had the chance...then you shit outta luck.

With this announcment, applenberry.com have recalled all gevy units that were NOT used to unlock the users iPhone. And as you can see from their website they have a 30 money back guarantee. So if you purchased the ultra gevey and didn't get to use it for the newest basebands (older supported basebands can still be unlocked using the same gevey sim) then get an email to them straight away or go to their site andand claim your money back that way.

Don't get me wrong, applenberry are a very trusted and known company in the iPhone side of things, it's just that...well....they went wrong with this one a little bit.

I personally have never used the Gevey Sim to unlock my phone. And if you're still running an older firmware with older unlockable basebands, there are alternatives and way's to upgrade your firmware to the latest and keeping the baseband at an unlockable level.
