Called out for duty? Get your iPhone unlocked!

The other day we reported that AT&T were unlocking iPhone's where the contract had expired.  Well more news regarding unlocking is making the rounds. AT&T are unlocking deployed United States servicemen's iPhone's that are still in-contract. This unlock applies to Deployed Airmen, Soldiers, Marines and Sailors.

This great kindness ONLY applies to GSM iPhone's. The iPhone 4S is capable of both CDMA and GSM networks, AT&T probably will not unlock it for you if you are going to be using another carrier.

AT&T are doing this without being required to do so by any law.  So if you are or know any servicemen that could take advantage of this, be sure to pass it on. I would expect this to be a free unlock.
