After replacing my iPhone's home button today, I decided to configure it and realised a lot of people didn't know how to do that themselves!  For those with an unresponsive or faulty home button on your Apple device, read/watch on.

If you're a developer, or you just happen to have your hands on the iOS6 GM released during yesterday's iPhone event, you'll be glad to know that the iPhoneDev team has already cracked their way into the system with a tethered RedSn0w  jailbreak for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and 4G iPod Touch.

Everyone with any kind of gadget knows that they have to do some accessorizing to make it stand out from the crowd. If you have an iPhone, you know that's definitely the case. You have jailbreaking which opens the possibility of custom themes.

Yesterday I gave the news of redsn0w being able to downgrade the iPad baseband on Older 3G[S] models and iPhone 3G. Today I bring you a tutorial: This will be for Windows but Mac is exactly the same.

Not too long ago we posted about the Absinthe Untethered Jailbreak for IOS 5.1.1. If you are unsure about how to use it or are a bit weary, fear no more. I have quickly rattled up a guide for you. In the words of the Chronic Dev Team "so easy your grandma could do it ;D "

1. Get your jailbroken iPhone and open MobileTerminal (If you don't have it already, get it from Cydia)
2. In MobileTerminal, type in: su root
3. It'll ask you for a password, type in: alpine
4. To make the screen a bit cleaner, type in: cd
5. Now, to change your password, type in: passwd
6. Enter the password you desire (You will not see the characters in the screen as you type them for security reasons)
7. Enter the password you entered once more
• You're essentially done, if you want to change the password for the mobile space on the iPhone, continue reading... If not, close MobileTerminal and pat yourself on the back.
8. If you're going to change the password for the Mobile user, type in: passwd mobile
9. Enter the password you desire (You will not see the characters in the screen as you type them for security reasons)
10. Enter the password you entered once more
11. All done! You are now secure! You may close MobileTerminal

Note: In this tutorial a US Hotmail account is used

1. Lets start with opening the Settings application in the Springboard (Home Screen)


2. Second, Scroll down and tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars

3. Once you're in the Mail, Contacts, Calendars window, tap on Add Account...



4. Alright, now it's time to add the account, tap on Other





5. Now, it's time to add the details of the account - in this case we will use an iPhone-Hacks hotmail account - Please, do NOT use the email address shown in the image to contact us. If you need to get in contact with us use the Contact Us page





6. After you're done entering the account details tap Save





There you have it! Hotmail on the iPhone or iPod Touch! Awesome right?
