iOS 6 Releases Today!

Today is the day that iOS 6 is supposed to be released for all compatible devices. That's if you have an iPhone 3GS, a 4th generation iPod Touch, the iPad 2 or the 2nd generation Apple TV and anything newer of course. iOS 6 will be the initial firmware available on the iPhone 5 and it features over 200 changes. If you've watched the Apple press event, you would be aware of some of the goodies coming along. There's a new in house Maps application, PassBook, the improvements to Siri, new UI changes, more social integration... the whole nine yards.

 

iOS 6 is scheduled to go live at 10 AM Pacific Time, which converts to 11 AM - 1 PM in respect to the time zone that you're in. Once it's available, you'll be able to update via OTA, iTunes or until a jailbreak comes through.

 

Apple hits another big x.0 in it's iOS history.
