To celebrate the 10th anniversary of one of it's most popular games, Rockstar have confirmed that they are bringing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to IOS and Android to us on December 6th (priced $4.99). If you're excited then go set it in your calendar app.
I for one won't be getting all giddy over it. I hate playing games on my iPhone! It doesn't bother me as much to play a 2d game that's simple and straight to the point: Angry Birds, Alpine Crawler or something else just as fun to play for 10 minutes while I take a shit. 3D environment games however do bother me. Don't get me wrong, some of the graphics on these games are absolutely amazing. Infinity Blade is one of the best and I enjoyed it (Using 'enjoyed' very lightly). Although, perhaps it's just games that 've played on other proper consoles that I hate more.
I bought Resident Evil 4 for my iPhone. I hated the whole 15 minutes I played it for. It was the hardest game ever to play, mostly because your two thumbs cover the entire screen. Actions all together are so much harder to perform when you can't see the guy's your shooting. I never bought Grand Theft Auto 3 for iPhone, but I have played it...and it almost made me take a cheese grater to my face. First Person Shooters even more are the Devils work on Mobile devices.
It's not just on my iPhone I don't like them. It's my iPad as well. It's a bigger screen but the controls are still just as awkward. If you are playing a game on your mobile it eats the battery like shit. A half hour game and BAM! You can't text your friend to save him $4.99 on a game due out December 6th. Another hate with mobile gaming is that the slightest bit of sunshine ruins your gaming until you can roll your lazy ass over for some shade.
I would recommend that if you want to play Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and actually enjoy it, go buy a PS2. Sure it may cost an extra $30 but you'll enjoy playing it. I guarantee it. Separate buttons and a comfy controller to name a few of the treats you'll receive. If, after that, you still prefer playing it on your mobile or tablet then you're a goddamn liar!
Maybe it's just me. Are any of you guys serious mobile gamers or can we just rule out that mobile gaming will NEVER be as good as a home console EVER?

Does it really WORK though? I'd MUCH RATHER play it on the PS2. Not just for a bigger screen but for ease of use. I know it's tweaked for mobile but it's hard as bollocks to maneuver.
