New Apple Accessories Detailed Prior to iPhone Event

We all know that today's Apple event is going to be all about the next iPhone, but there are a lot of smaller announcements that will be coming along the way as well. The experts  over at 9 to 5 Mac have some supposed details on the accessories to be revealed later today.

First up we have the infamous new dock connector that is said to be part of just about anything new that we see today. In accord with the elemental names like Firewire and Thunderbolt, this emerging nine-pin beast is being referred to internally as Thunderbolt and will be replacing that age old connector that we have come to know and love. Looks like if you want to bring the thunder, you may need a new dock unless Apple offers another solution for you.

Secondly we have those new sort of weird looking headphones that are supposedly primed and ready to replace the old models. These will be referred to as EarPods, and offer a much more comfortable fit for those that complain about the traditional buds not sitting in their canals correctly. As usual they will retail for about $30 and are sure to come in any new iDevice for the foreseeable future. Lastly, there is a new loop accessory that is supposedly coming out for the 4G iPod Touch model that will be maintained today coming in a variety of colors.
