Apple Goes Unibody?

With rumors circulating about the supposed A5x, one of Apples latest patents leads to more rumors. This time regarding the appearance of the phone itself.
A patent for 'unibody' headphones has been applied for by Apple. These headphones would be ultrasonically welded together and then sanded down to give them a very clean look and as if they had been magically crafted.
So i think we can all discard the rumors about an iPhone with a 4 inch screen. And it's pretty much certain that Apple are going to change the design of the phone. But how does a unibody iPhone sound? I can't think of what it might look like at all, but it does sound appealing. Would it be a silver alloy like a Macbook Air or Pro etc? It's a possibility that the phone could be like this. Giving the APPEARANCE of a whole unit but is actually 2-3 separate bits. Perhaps with this Apple are indeed going for an Autumn release?
