The evad3rs team is on top of everything as usual. With the release of iOS 6.1.1 for the iPhone 4S, they have made their jailbreak work for those who decide to upgrade. That's the main reasoning behind the update. However, the team has worked to improve the functionality of the app for those who were experiencing problems on their computers. As of the 1.3 update, the evasi0n application will work properly for those on OSX 10.5. As for Linux users, there's no need to stretch for an updated glibc, as the minimum requirement has been changed to 2.3.
It's great to see that iOS 6 and 6.1 remains jailbroken across the road. Interestingly enough, Apple did not decide to patch the jailbreak with the release of iOS 6.1.1. Regardless of the reason, it's definitely chalked up to a win for everyone. If you are already jailbroken, you can update your jailbreak via Cydia. If you are unjailbroken, then you can grab the application and get jailbroken below.
NOTE: The evad3rs team warns iPhone 4S users to backup their device before updating to iOS 6.1.1 and that they should restore via iTunes as opposed to performing an OTA update.
