Hack In The Box Organizers Confirm Absinthe Release Date.

Absinthe is so close...I can taste it! With a full timetable of chip IOS hacking among other things, the hackinthebox crew were so kind as to give us a few teasers of great things to come for tomorrow.  One of them is what you've all been waiting for...

It was rumored that pod2g and the Chronic Dev Team will be releasing Absinthe 2.0 at the HackInTheBox conference that's been on the past 2 days. Well, a tweet from the hackinthebox organizers reveals that Absinthe will be released on the 25 May...LIVE!!!

Here's the exact tweet "SPECIAL @chronicdevteam 1-day passes for #HITB2012AMS @ EUR699! Come see @pod2g @p0sixninja @planetbeing @nikias JAILBREAK LIVE" This should be around 1.30GMT going by the schedule below.

It was well rumored, and near clarified by the chronic-devteam themselves, when they teased about Absinthe being released 'in a matter of days'. Updated along with the release date was the device list. pod2g has added the iPad 3 Global to the list. All that leaves is the Apple TV 3 which will definitely NOT be getting any sort of jailbreak.

Some of you may note that it says for ios 5.0.1. That is probably a misunderstanding rather than a typo twice.

In other news, yesterday at 11.30 it was the legendary Musclenerd who was giving his talk on the 'Evolution of iPhone Baseband and Unlocks'. Must still be busy as he hasn't tweeted much about it. I haven't read the PDF of his talk yet but if you want to have a look you can find it below. Might be worth a quick look through. Also, a quick pic of musclenerd actually giving the talk.

A quick reminder and warning! If you require an UNLOCK then please take care before upgrading. If you don't require an unlock then it is safe to go ahead and update your firmware. A tutorial will be available following it's release tomorrow in the forums.

So wherever you live, it's either great news or bad, depending on how bad you want the jailbreak and whether or not you'll be in bed. Which tool will you be using? Absinthe / Cinject / redsn0w (it should be updated tomorrow also)? As for me, I'll be using Absinthe.
