Sprint Rolls Out Network Enhancements Improving Data Speeds For iPhone Users

Sprint started selling Apple's iPhone, since, its customers have complained about slow data speeds. Sprint has been very proactive in assuring their new iPhone customers that they've were taking the speed issue seriously and have been hard at work with Apple to sort out the issue. Finally, It looks like they may have found a solution to the problem as CNET reports that the carrier has been rolling out "network enhancements" that should improve data speeds dramatically. Sprint was able to determine where the upgrades were needed through a combination of its own checks and feedback from customers. "Initial customer response to the improvements has been very positive," Fared Adib, vice president of product development for Sprint, said in a statement to CNET. "Sprint continues to monitor device and network performance to ensure that customers get the performance they expect from our products." Additionally, CNET reports that they conducted a test of data speeds in select locations in Manhattan and found no speed issues with the iPhone 4S on Sprint's network and found that it actually performed better than iPhone 4S on Verizon's network. However, according to CNET, the issue is still not resolved for some Sprint customers as they continue to see inconsistent and, at times, dramatically slow service.
