SWARM Released for Kindle and Android

Submitted by Christopher Groux; December 27, 2012

In case you missed my last story about SWARM, on it's most basic level it is a tilt and tumble adverture designed for touchpad devices. You guide your character around a series of maps collecting coins, which seems like a pretty basic and over used concept.  That is until you come in contact with your enemies known as the SWARM. It will be your  job as the hero to save your city and surrounding areas from destruction by getting the highest score possible within the fastest time on all of the game's various levels.

However what really makes the game something unique is its excellent use of its 3D environments. You won't just be rolling along straight paths to get to victory. Instead, it's all about finding the right leverage and momentum to collect all of the required items on a series of jumps and half pipes. In some ways once the SWARM confronts you, the game becomes a delightful mix between pacman and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater with enough classic mechanics to keep gamers young and old amused for some time. As if that wasn't enough, there will also be added downloadable characters with unique styles and abilities.  For those looking to get into the holiday spirit, the ice blasting snow man might be a wise choice.

From my time with this game, in many ways it's something that should be experienced rather than simply read. For more infomation you can always check out these YouTube previews or read my more detailed feature. I've contacted the developer about iOS release dates, so I will post a comment as soon as I know. Until then, those with Kindles or Android should get the ball rolling now.

Do you personally know the developer, you seem to be plugging this?

I wouldn't say I know them personally. They just approached our site with an exclusive story, and we love when we have fans that develop great stuff. I believe any independent effort should be plugged with the market so competitive. After all, so much good stuff gets slipped through the cracks.
