There's been a lot of stuff flying about regarding upcoming products that Apple could possibly release in the near future. As the supposed launch months near by, there are more rumors surfacing to go along with it.
The rumor this time is that the iPad Mini will be launching at a keynote event to be held in October. However, that event will only occur on one condition and that is pending the launch of the iPhone 5. The latest roundup of everything indicates that the iPhone 5's launch is set for September 12, less than a month away. As AllThingsD puts it:
Apple’s next generation iPhone and its so-called “iPad mini” will debut at two separate events this fall, rather than a single one as has been widely speculated, according to several sources. First comes the latest iteration of the tech giant’s hugely popular smartphone, which will be unveiled at an as yet unannounced event on September 12. Only after the next-generation iPhone is out the door and on sale will Apple announce the smaller iPad it’s been working on.
As far as that September 12 date goes for the iPhone 5, that still falls in line with Apple's usual iPhone launches done in the Fall. However, how well will the October date hold up for the iPad Mini? Although the sources that this was obtained from are reliable, it never hurts to wait and see. The magic date is just over 2 weeks.
