Apple Announces Event For October 23

Apple has sent out invites to a media event to take place October 23rd, in San Jose, California. As the rumors have shaped up, this event will be the one to finally reveal the new iPad Mini to the world. As we all know, the iPad Mini will be packing a 7.85 inch screen and is targeted to compete with other tablets out such as the Nexus 7 and upcoming tablets such as those coming down the tubes from both Acer and Samsung. In past weeks, word has gone out that production has started on the iPad Mini.

 

Like the iPhone 5 reveal, other Apple products will be joining the showcase such as a new 13 inch MacBook Pro rocking a Retina Display and a refreshed Mac Mini. Now that the time is counting down, will Apple be able to get a foot in and compete with the other similarly sized tablets out there?
