Sn0wbreeze v2.8b5 Released for iOS 5 Beta 5 Devices

iH8Sn0w an iOS jailbreak developer out of Toronto has released the latest beta version of his Sn0wbreeze 2.8b5 to support jailbreaking iOS 5 beta 5 devices on Windows PC. He has also added a few features like hacktivation and removing UDID checks. Here is the full changelog:

sn0wbreeze v2.8 [BETA 5]

  • Now supports iOS 5 beta 5 (9A5228d).
  • Added Hacktivation ability.
  • Added option to remove UDID developer check/Beta Timer.
  • Finally decided to fix Baseband preservation standalone mode.
  • Tethered devices are booted via iBooty.
  • Re-added afc2.

  • iPhone 3GS [Old bootrom]---------NO
  • iPhone 3GS [New bootrom]-------YES
  • iPhone 4 [GSM]-----------------------YES
  • iPhone 4 [CDMA]---------------------YES
  • iPad 1G---------------------------------YES
  • iPod Touch 3G------------------------YES
  • iPod Touch 4--------------------------YES
Unfortunately this release does not jailbreak iPad 2 devices and only supports untethered jailbreaking for iPhone 3GS (older bootroms) all other iOS 5 devices require a tethered jailbreak currently. Download Sn0wbreeze v2.8 Beta 5 --source iH8sn0w
