Ever since the whole Apple Maps scandal, the company has been trying to do anything possible to repair its somewhat blemished reputation. In part this has resulted in the release of many small fixes to the iOS 6 operating system that address many of the small bugs that users had been complaining about from the very beginning. Wifi however has always been a massive issue with the new version, with many users saying their speeds have dropped greatly since making the switch to 6. The company initially felt that they had fixed this with iOS 6.0.1, but it looks as though that may not have been entirely true.
That's where yesterday's 6.0.2 update comes in. If you've got an iPad Mini or iPhone 5, this little fix has been especially created to fix any issues you may be having with your wifi connection. As of right now, it should be available as an over the air add-on that will install without the need of connecting to iTunes. If you still have wifi issues on your older iOS 6 devices, it looks as if you may have to wait until 6.1 releases next month to have those ironed out. The good news is, 6.1 will also come with improved Siri commands, passbook features, and even some increases in battery life across the board. Those of you with newer devices however, will be enjoying the earlier benefits of a solid wifi stream.
