Like we mentioned in the previous article, Apple has acknowledged the bugs that are present in the iOS 6 and 6.1 firmwares. German blog iFun has posted that Apple will be releasing iOS 6.1.2, which will take care of all the known bugs and issues that have been bought up in the past week. The new firmware will be released this week before February 21, which would be this upcoming Thursday. Unlike iOS 6.1.1 which was only released for the iPhone 4S to fix carrier specific issues, iOS 6.1.2 will be covering all the devices.
It's great to see that Apple is working quickly to resolve these issues that have the potential to affects users on a wide scale. At the same time, it's quite an eyebrow raiser to see a range of firmwares get hit with so many bugs within a small period of time. Let's hope that the developers will do better QC checks to ensure that something similar does not occur in the future.
