iPhone Bluetooth Just Got Better!

Earlier in the month we had an article giving you 100 great reasons to jailbreak your iPhone. This is 1 of the greater ones. A tweak / application that I (with a tip off) discovered in the Cydia Store is Airblue Sharing by the Developer Eric Day. This tweak / application is really just Bluetooth (which the iPhone lacks in stock IOS) and allows the transfer of Music, Pictures, Videos, and certain other Files to any other phone or Bluetooth transfer enabled device, not limited to other iPhones. An addon also allows ANY file to be sent within the iFile application also available on the Cydia Store.
To use it is easy. For example: Go to any photo in the photo app and select it. Press the 'Forward' button in the bottom left corner of the photo. The popup menu will appear with an added 'Bluetooth' option. Press the bluetooth option and another popup will appear and start searching for devices to pair your phone to before you can transfer anything. Once paired and the other device accepts what you are sending, it will show the percentage of the file that has been sent.
For receiving, just activate AirBlue Sharing by double tapping the status bar (default) or use your own activation method using 'activator' (another excellent Cydia tweak). You should now have a symbol that looks a lot like the Normal Bluetooth symbol on your status bar.
AirBlue Sharing can be found on the BigBoss repository for $4.99 and is compatible with iOS 4.2 to 5.x +

iphones dont come with bluetooth?!!? Thats ridiculous. Phones have had bluetooth long before androids & iphones even came about. Another reason apple is junk.You gotta hack your phone just to get the simplest features & customizations that are stock on android. Hack your android & it makes an iphone look like a Zach Morris phone. What garbage!

Ahh, got to love Zach Morris' brick! That is one of the major flaws in the iDevice IOS, was the Bluetooth. The only Thing that stock Bluetooth is good for is using a heatset of some sort.

No, what the post meant is that the iPhone's bluetooth capabilities are limited to just headsets and the Bump app and stuff like that. The iPhone doesn't have a bluetooth send/recieve feature on it's prime apps like Photo, Music, Contacts, ect. You have to modify the files to enable this and what they ended up is a mod in Cydia.
